Real acceptance testing never trusts the console's own numbers — it checks them with an independent meter. This simulates that same check: fire the same technique three times, in Manual or AEC mode, and see whether the machine is within tolerance.
ZERO clears the display, HOLD keeps a reading on screen instead of it clearing after a few seconds, and UNITS switches dose between mGy and mR.
